everyday i wonder

I wonder what it is I intend to do by reading what I’m reading. I wonder what it is I think I can get by re-reading the books I am reading. Generation X, Franny and Zooey, Catcher in the Rye and now The Virgin Suicides. What do I want from these books? What did I get from these books before? Am I revisiting old ghosts? Am I trying to evaluate where I stand now – where I’ve been and how far I’ve come? I wonder. There are too many things I do not have the answers to. Too many things I don’t even have an inkling about. Everyday I pour over them. Everyday I wonder.
